Yá'át'ééh (Greetings),
The Navajo Nation Collaborative is a coalition that uplifts and supports the early childhood community/system on the Navajo Nation and surrounding areas. The NNECC meets monthly (virtually & quarterly in-person) on the second Friday of each month. The meetings are to network Early Childhood Stakeholders and community within the Navajo Nation to collaborate collectively to promote Early Childhood Awareness giving opportunity for partnership for resources, referrals, and support for programs and Navajo families with young children.
NNECC Vision: Our vision is for children residing on the Navajo Nation and all Dine’ children to have access to resources, support, and connection to culturally responsive practices to be able to grow as their authentic self in love and resilience.
NNECC Mission: Navajo Nation Early Childhood Collaborative commits to supporting all programs serving children and their families to ensure that our relatives, children, and Dine’ families will walk in beauty.
Goals of NNECC: - Continuing to expand NNECC and recruit members
- Build a strong foundation through development of Theory of Change & Logic Model to sustain NNECC
- Increasing parent/caregiver and community engagement
- Create cohesive Early Childhood System to support young children and families
- Develop a centralized access point to bridge services and breakdown silos
- Build capacity of Early Childhood stakeholders to equitably provide services and resources to young children and families
- Make lifelong lasting impacts for all Dine’ children and children residing on the Navajo Nation
- Increase cultural competency among Early Childhood Stakeholders and community
- Incorporate Navajo culture and philosophy
