I recently received a new grant to support families across Berkshire County. As part of this initiative, I am seeking input from parents about the programs, resources, and community supports that would be most helpful during pregnancy (prenatally), after the birth of a child (postpartum), and throughout the early years of parenting.

If you are interested in participating, we will follow up with a brief questionnaire. If you know someone who may be interested, please share this survey or my contact information. Your feedback will help shape future programs for Berkshire County families.

Programs being offered :
ALL PROGRAMS ARE FREE!
Tiny Tots class
Where: Dalton Public Library 10:00-11:00
When: Monday’s

This group will be similar to the Play, Learn and Discover group; however, it will be geared more to the younger children.  We will do a short circle time with a story and songs.  We will have parachute play and use other tools as well.  Great fun!  This is geared towards children ages 0-3, however exceptions will be made, and siblings of course are always welcome!

Becket Athenaeum ~ Infant & Toddler Group - Tuesdays, 10-11am

Description: Circle time, stories, movement, music and play for kids' birth through age 3. Siblings are always welcome. Coffee and tea for caregivers, snacks for kids!

Play and learn Groups
Where: Kittredge Elementary School
When: Thursday's & Fridays – 9:30-11:00

You and your child/children are invited to join us at our weekly play, learn and discover groups.
Wouldn’t you like to come to a place where you and your child can interact in a safe, developmentally appropriate, fun, socially stimulating and exciting way?
Meet new children and other parents looking for the same thing as you.
What will we do?
Activities will be done in a friendly age-appropriate way to introduce social emotional learning, literacy, writing, math, science and of course it will all be offered in an early childhood environment while the children are playing and socializing. There is plenty of space for our infants and toddlers to move around and learn too!
You are welcome to attend as many of the groups as you would like.  Repetition is very important to children and that is how they successfully master skills.

Story Hour:
Where: Dalton Public Library
Wednesday's 10:00 – 11:00
At story hour we read 1 book and complete a craft that aligns with the book that we read.  You have the opportunity to borrow books from the library.  This is a wonderful way to introduce your child to the library.

Please complete this statement:                    I would like to see my child....... *
I have concerns about?
I would like you to do more or less of....
I have completed the Ages and Stages developmental tool for my child/children within the last year. The easy to use Ages and Stages developmental tool is a questionnaire for anyone (the parent/guardian) to complete (online/paper/pencil).  The questionnaire you complete is determined by your child’s date of birth.  The tool can be used for children ages 2 months up until 5 yrs and 5 months old.  The tool covers five developmental areas such as gross motor (movement) and communication (language skills), fine motor, problem solving and personal-social.   Once the questionnaire is submitted to me we can move ahead.  We will discuss the results. This tool is for anyone to complete!  You will receive new and exciting ideas you can do with your child/children that are age appropriate while practicing new and old skills.   This tool also helps guide me in my programming to provide necessary skills to all of the children in a fun and exciting way!                                                                                 Link:  https://www.asqonline.com/family/096b55 *
If you have chosen to not complete the Ages and Stages tool can you tell me why?
I have a child that is between the Ages of 18 mo to 4 years old.  I am interested in learning more about the ParentChild+ program.  This program is a home visiting program broken up into 2 30 minute sessions.  This program is built to support you and and your child/children.  Completely FREE!  Checking yes does not commit you to the program.
Is there anything you would like to add?
Can you please tell me which groups are your favorite?
How did you hear about these programs? *
