Location: Monastery of the Discalced Carmelite Friars (166 Foster Street, Brighton, MA 02135)
The monastery has its own parking lot. Carpooling is still recommended.
Theme: The Silence of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph: Transformative Silence Amid Daily Trials and Distractions
Speaker: Br. John-Mary of Jesus Crucified, OCD
Br. John-Mary of Jesus Crucified was born and raised in Alabama, where he studied wireless engineering at Auburn University. He entered the Discalced Carmelites in 2015 and made his solemn vows in 2021. He's currently studying Spiritual Theology at The Catholic University of America, specializing in the teaching of St. John of the Cross. He shares the wisdom of the Carmelite saints in various ministries, especially through retreat work, spiritual direction, and the podcast CarmelCast. In his free time, he enjoys running, baking bread, playing the organ, and brewing beer.
The day will include conferences, lunch, Mass, adoration, confessions, and more!
