Job Summary: The SLP Elevate Curriculum Assistant will join the Speech Time Fun team to assist in creating engaging and easy to use resources for speech-language pathologists working with grades 4-12.

Tasks will include, but not limited to:

Writing fiction and nonfiction passages at varied designated reading levels that are appropriate for older students yet simplified for speech-language students
Create comprehension questions and answer keys
Creating digital versions of resources and PDF versions using our design formats/templates
Editing resources, updating past resources, and correcting errors/mistakes
Supporting CEO in the development of new resources
Reviewing resources for quality, design, and accuracyJob Skills and Qualifications:

Job Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of speech-language pathology, special education, or ELA
Familiarity with Lexile/reading levels
Familiarity and experience writing various comprehension question types
Experience creating resources in PowerPoint
Experience creating in Google Slides
Experience creating Boom Cards
Exceptional attention to detail
An eye for design and ability to match the CEO's style and vision
A strong grasp of the English language and write creatively

Hours and Compensation:

Expected 10 hours per week
Compensation is $25 per hour

At Speech time fun, we encourage team members to take initiative and seek out creative ideas that will benefit the company. Show us your creative skills by researching and developing a creative way to teach students about how to understand sarcasm. *

At Speech time fun, we create motivating and engaging resources that are easy to use with older students reading at lower reading levels. Show us your writing style by writing 50 words on a high-interest topic for middle schoolers but written at a 4th grade reading level. *
