Great news - Oak Street Health is partnering with the Chicago Department of Public Health and Belmont-Cragin community-based organizations to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to all residents of Belmont-Cragin in Northwest Chicago - one of Chicago's most vulnerable neighborhoods by the Chicago COVID-19 Community Vulnerability Index (CCVI). Each weekend, starting on Saturday, February 13th, we'll vaccinate 1,000 people/day - with the intent of distributing 16,000 first and second doses by the time we wrap on Sunday, April 4th.
As part of that effort, we seek volunteers to help us staff our eight weekend community vaccination clinics in Belmont-Cragin, in both operations and vaccinator roles. (We require that vaccinators have clinical training, whether as a provider, a student or a post-graduate trainee.)
Volunteer positions are available in half-day and full-day blocks. We can offer swag and COVID19-safe meals in exchange. :)
Please complete the form below to indicate your volunteer interest. We will provide you with details of the roles, any necessary verification of your current position (particularly for vaccinator roles, such as a copy of your medical or nursing license/employee ID) and all necessary training.
