Monitoring registry of fees billed during medical consultations
This monitoring registry is the second version of the registry of fees billed during medical consultations, developed by the Right for Health Committee of the Pointe-Saint-Charles Community Clinic. It is launched following the adoption of the "Regulations abolishing accessory costs related to the dispensation of insured services and governing the cost of transporting biological samples" (Règlement abolissant les frais accessoires liés à la dispensation des services assurés et régissant les frais de transport des échantillons biologiques) (January 26 2017). The monitoring registry aims at ensuring that no accessory fees will be billed to patients. With your help, we will continue to compile and analyze accessory fees billed during medical consultations with a participating doctor of the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ).

The registry is a tool to collect information and personal testimonies from anyone who is made to pay for receiving care, treatment or any other medical service. It is also aimed at anyone who could not obtain care or medical service because they were unable, or refused, to pay fees for which they were billed.

All personal testimonies will remain anonymous and confidential, but respondents have the option to consent to their testimony being made public (either anonymously or not) in order to provide examples of situations where fees are charged.

Thank you for helping us create a picture of billing practices during medical consultations in Quebec!
