Open to kids 7-14 years old. All materials provided with $25 fee.

This workshop is part of the Raksha Art Show at Mimms Museum of Technology and Art on April 18, 2026. 

Details about the Workshop & Artist:
Hosted by Atlanta based artist Padmalatha Ravi - This 90 minute workshop will introduce participants ages 7-14 to visual storytelling through comic strip format. They will learn to use images and text within the 2,3,4 or 6 panels of a comic. The workshop encourages creativity, confidence, problem solving and self-expression, all skill levels are welcome. The participants will go home with the original comic that they created.

We aim to create a welcoming, calm, and flexible environment that is family-friendly. For children with different sensory needs, we will arrange for a space in the workshop room that will have sensory items, noise-cancelling headphones, coloring books, etc. That said, we DO NOT provide childcare and parents remain responsible for supervising and supporting their children while in the workshop.
