Outdoor Lab High School Leader Application
It is an honor, privilege, responsibility, and commitment to be a High School Leader for Outdoor Lab. Students who are juniors and seniors (occasionally sophomores) have the unique opportunity to serve as high school leaders. While at the week-long program, high school leaders help 6th graders learn about science, history, and mountain ecosystems. For the leaders themselves, they learn skills in communication, critical thinking/problem solving, self-direction, personal responsibility, and stewardship. To many of the students at Outdoor Lab, the most important person is the high school leader, as they serve as guides, teachers, friends, advisers, and a source of inspiration. In order to fulfill these expectations, the high school leader must be emotionally mature, use good judgement, and demonstrate a natural love and respect for children and the environment.

You must meet the following qualifications in order to apply to be a High School Leader:
1. 2.0 GPA or higher
2. 90% or better attendance
3. No behavior infractions in the past 12 months

If you want to take advantage of this opportunity, please follow the instructions below.

1. Complete the application below.
2. Print the "Parent Consent for Outdoor Lab Participation" and ask your parents to review and sign.
3. Print the "Medical Information Form" AND the "Medications Form" and complete with your parents.
4. Turn all 3 forms into Mrs. Keyler (AW)/Mrs. Weber (RV) in the Counseling Center.
