Please fill out the following registration for the 2025 Louisiana Dragon Boat Races. This event will be held
Saturday, May 2, 2026, (the FIRST Saturday in May) on Buhlow Lake in Pineville, LA. There will be practice sessions during the week preceding the event in the same area. Each team will supply
16 paddlers (a minimum of 6 paddlers must be female) and 1 drummer. The steersman will be provided. Team Boats are $2,100 and Event Sponsorships are $5,000 (includes 1 Team Boat)
Each registered team will also receive:
- 10x20 designated tent area - to be chosen by team contact in order of registration/payment. Additional tent space available for additional fee. Please contact Terra Allen at tallen@lsua.edu for more details.
- 2026 PADDLER T-shirts in the 2026 design for all 17 team members.
- Please note: To be guaranteed your preferred size, please submit rosters before April 1, 2026
Competition Rules/Schedule: - All teams will race twice in the morning. The best time from those two heats will place your team in one of three flights in the afternoon: Power Paddle Flight, Dragon Master Flight, and Championship Flight
- The top three teams in each flight will receive medals and trophies. Winning teams will receive 17 medals
- All teams in the Championship flight will receive a trophy
- Spirit Awards: In addition to competing on the water, teams can get a trophy for Best Dressed Team, Best Dressed Drummer, Best Tent Area, and Best Team Spirit. Un-sanctioned unofficial awards for best tent food is highly likely.
2026 New Update! Due to past instances of over ordering, to ensure we do not have any unclaimed t-shirts, we will not be ordering shirts for alternates this year. Please keep this in mind while filling out the rosters. Shirts run on the larger size and are stretchy. We will still have a limited number of trade-out shirts if you need to exchange sizes.
