Homecoming 2024 Parade Entry Form

This year's Homecoming Parade will take place Thursday, October 24th at 4 PM. Please note there is a new Parade Route line up location with the route remaining very similar to our previous years, so please review the map at your convenience. We will also have directional signs and UNCP staff to guide all parade participants to the new route.

New Parade Route
Staging (highlighted on map) from west-to-east on College St (runs parallel to railroad, behind Mikoto's). This is roughly ½ mile.
Start point is the right-hand turn from College St to Main St. (in front of 102 Main St.)
Proceed south toward Entrepreneurship HUB, the turn west (right turn) onto Third St.
Proceed west toward Campus.
Turn right onto Prospect Road and then left onto Old Main Street 
Turn Right onto Faculty Row 
Follow Faculty Row until ending at University Road
PARADE GUIDELINES
The parade chairpersons will be in charge and reserve the right to dismiss any entrant who does not abide by parade rules. Entry to the parade is invitation only. The parade marshals have the right to accept, reject or remove any entry which does not follow the parade rules or the decisions of the parade chairpersons.

Staging begins at 2:15 pm. All Entries must be staged by 3:30 p.m. – no exceptions.

The parade will be a FORWARD MOTION parade. All entries must complete the entire route.

All entries must indicate if they have music or sound amplifying systems at time of registration and shall maintain a volume that will not interfere with other entries. If amplified sound is not approved prior to parade it will not be allowed.

There will be many children attending this event. ALL MUSIC MUST BE PG (NO CURSING AND NO SEXUALLY EXPLICIT LYRICS).

Entries having children under age 18 must provide parents or other adult chaperones to walk alongside and supervise.

NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN STAGING AREA OR DURING PARADE.

For safety reasons, all living things on a moving entry must be secured. No one is allowed to ride on a running board, hood, roof, or vehicle fender.

No firearms shall be fired, and no open flames allowed.

No golf carts allowed.

Entries must start at appointed start place and complete entire parade route.

We reserve the right to revise the placement of all entries.

No candy or other items can be thrown from vehicles. If you wish to distribute items, a member of your party must walk alongside the vehicle.
