Your answer
Members of the Honor Council are required to attend regular meetings. The meeting time will be determined after we have inducted new members. There are several event days--Ethics Day and the Norton Lectures--which you are expected to attend. Serving on the Honor Council is a serious time commitment and attending events hosted by Honor Council should be a priority.

Your answer
In an effort to make others aware of the Honor Code, you are expected to make an effort to understand it and live it in an exemplary way, even if this requires courage or sacrifice. You are expected to respect other students, faculty and staff, especially those who may need extra understanding or support. You are expected to hold other members to high standards and report any unethical behavior by members directly to the Chair, and any unethical behavior to the Chair, to the faculty advisor, or Vice President of Student Affairs. *

CASE CONFIDENTIALITY
Historically, Honor Council is responsible for hearing student ethics violation cases. Our role is greatly reduced in this now that we have merged with ASU. When a case under our jurisdiction does arise, we strive to offer full transparency and accountability to the greatest degree possible. There will be no tolerance for violating the confidentiality of Honor Council Hearings. This is both a legal and ethical issue. The universal human right to privacy and reputation is not up for discussion. If you share confidential information inappropriately you may be found guilty of a Tier Four Honor Code violation and face expulsion from Thunderbird. If you have any questions about what information can or cannot be shared, please ask. *
