We will also take adventures around the school, have ample time to explore everyone's interests, as well as engage in our themed activities. We will finish each day off with a cool popsicle treat (our favorite!). Water/Splash days are being planned, and weekly on-campus experiences included, but subject to change. Lunch will be provided on Fridays.
June 3-7: Ooey Gooey Mad Science : Put on your lab coats and goggles, and join us for a week filled with crazy, hands-on experiments that take us on a journey through the wonderful world of science! Mad Scientists will make their own non-Newtonian fluid (Oobleck), observe and predict, and conduct mad science experiments in the classroom science lab!
June 10-14: Color Explosion 2.0: This week is always a camper's favorite: Color Explosion 2.0! We will lead campers on a journey to create one of a kind masterpieces, and give them a chance to collaborate on a camp-wide art project! Campers will be experimenting with different mediums such as paint, colored pencils, clay, chalk, and yarn! Don’t fret, our most popular event - The Color War - will return with a new twist: Campers vs. Counselors! By the end of the week, your camper will be a budding artist showcased in our 4th Annual Camp Phoenix Art Show!
June 17-21: Edible Engineering: What could be better than a week focused on STEM? A week focused on STEM and food! Campers will enjoy exploring the world of engineering through STEM Challenges and activities that push the limits on traditional snack time. How many marshmallows can you stack on top of each other? Can you build a bridge out of spaghetti noodles? What type of cracker floats the longest? Find out the answers to all these questions and more during this new and exciting week!
June 24-28: The No - Theme Week: Let you imagination soar during our No-Theme Week at camp! Campers will enjoy a week where they chose their own adventure, and explore their own interests. This is sure to be a one-of-a-kind week you won't want to miss!
July 8-12: Superhero Adventures: Superheroes are taking over Camp Phoenix! During this epic week, campers will learn to recognize everyday heroes, create superhero capes, and explore our own heroic talents through risk taking, role play and teamwork. Each day, campers will work through activities to earn a superhero badge, and will be presented with Superhero Awards at the end of the week! Join us to learn about the Superhero that is in us all!
July 15-19: Pirates and Princesses: Grab your magic wands and follow your treasure map to where ‘X’ marks the spot at Camp Phoenix for a week of Pirates and Princesses. Campers will enjoy a scavenger hunt, making their own fairy wands and scepters, and a relay race to see who gets to walk the plank! We’ll finish the week with a dress-up party on a life-size pirate ship, so whether you’re wearing an eye patch, or a crown, this is one week you won’t want to miss!
July 22-26: Animal Planet: Get WILD this summer at Camp Phoenix! Learn about different animals, play animal themed games, create animal art, and explore animal habitats. The week wouldn't be complete without a visit from the Creature Teacher and her favorite baby kangaroo!
July 29- Aug 2: Wacky Water Week: We will finish out our summer with a wacky week of water activities! Water Balloon toss, water slides, and sponge races everyday! We will finish out the week with a camp-wide Splash Day! What a way to send off the summer!
