On Ice Meetings
Purpose:  This club is meant to foster community among OSU students with a passion for ice skaters at any level to gain skating experience in a recreational/non-competitive environment.
When: Certain Thursdays 8:00pm - 9:00pm in Spring Semester
Where: Ohio State Ice Rink 
Dues: Active Club Members must pay $100 and $3.00 skate rental/person
First session cost $10 (included in $100 payment)
Membership: Open throughout the year, no required amount of meetings to attend

Rental skates will be available
Structure
Ideally we want to rent an hour of ice a week. The first 30 minutes will be structured time to work on skating skills. The second 30 minutes will be to skate around the rink for fun and practice for those who want to. We would also like to incorporate optional shows and potentially other fun events outside the rink.
What makes us different?
We are open to all forms of skating (figure, hockey, speed, etc.),  welcome to any experience (ranging from none to professional), and are purely recreational. We are in it to have fun and promote the enjoyment of ice skating to everyone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to have skating experience?
No, absolutely not. We welcome anyone who is interested in ice skating, whether you've never put on ice skates before or have been doing it your whole life. The first half of the time, we give unofficial lessons and separate based on skills for safety. The second half of the time is a free skate for everyone to enjoy together.

Do I need to own skates?
No, ice skates can be rented for $3.00/session at the rink.

What days will this club meet/be held?
We will be holding on ice club meetings on Thursdays 8:00pm - 9:00pm

Dues?
$100.00 total for all members. This is to pay for ice and additional events.

  • Cash handed off directly to Treasurer Grace Lipsinic (email us to set a time to meet)

Can I still join?
Yes! You can join at any point, but full dues are still owed.
