The Coaching That Counts Collaborative Cohort is a year-long professional learning community designed for educators who support the growth of mathematics teachers, including mathematics coaches, interventionists, teacher leaders, curriculum specialists, and school and district administrators.
Throughout the year, participants engage in rich professional learning, collaborative discussions, classroom-focused problem solving, and meaningful reflection alongside mathematics leaders from across New Jersey. Together, participants deepen their understanding of mathematics teaching and learning, strengthen their coaching and instructional leadership practices, examine authentic problems of practice, and leave each session with practical strategies they can immediately apply to support teacher growth and improve student learning.
Participants attend three full-day regional sessions at the location most convenient for them while also connecting with colleagues across the state through interactive virtual learning experiences. The result is an ongoing network of support, fresh ideas, professional collaboration, and shared commitment to strengthening mathematics instruction.
Please note: This cohort is designed for educators in coaching, leadership, intervention, and supervisory roles. Classroom teachers are encouraged to explore the Coaching That Counts Open Workshops, which are designed specifically for classroom practice.
