Science Seminar Series: A Win for the Farmers, A Win for Fresh Water: Cover Cropping
Thursday, March 30, 2017
at Stroud Water Research Center
970 Spencer Road
Avondale PA 19311

Meetinghouse doors open at 6:00 p.m. for tours and light refreshments.
Lecture begins at 6:30 p.m. and, following Q&As, it concludes by 8:00 p.m.
Event is FREE and open to the public.

Learn about our environmental education programs before the seminar! Gather at 6 p.m. in our state-of-the-art Moorhead Environmental Complex to see sample activities in our indoor classroom, learn about our boots-in-the-water programs for schools, scouts, and youth groups, our training events for educators and other professionals, and much more.

Cover crops are helping farmers to produce more yield, protect our waterways, and take better care of their soil. Learn about the cover cropping approach from the “Coach” himself, Steve Groff; then hear from Stroud Center scientists about the research they are doing in conjunction with local farmer, Jamie Hicks.
