Picuris Pueblo is one of the oldest inhabited centers in New Mexico, besides being the smallest of the pueblos. In ____, however, Picuris is looking to the future with confidence-thanks, in considerable measure, to the encouragement of the Kit Carson Electric Cooperative. The story of Picuris was told nationally in a ____ issue of the NRECA News and included this picture of Mr. and Mrs. Agapito Martinez watching President Johnson address the United Nations on television. Electricity is a modern convenience that keeps people informed of current events and international happenings, as well as makes life more enjoyable.
