Student Support Liaison
Each semester we need a volunteer with a positive, people-oriented disposition to act as Student Support Liaison, who is responsible for checking in with adult literacy students on a weekly basis to ensure they feel supported and motivated in their summer program. This position will also assist the Adult Basic Literacy (ABE) program Director with administrative management and providing tutoring as needed.

This position requires a semester commitment of 2-3 hours every week, either Tuesdays sometime between 12-8pm, or Fridays midday, 11am-1pm.

Ideal volunteer is reliable, mature, organized; has experience working with people of color (ideally in an educational or social services setting), excellent customer service skills, and works well independently. Must be fluent in English and have friendly phone manner.
