Winter 2018 Theater Enrichment Program Sign Up
Ever wanted to be on stage and act? Acting is a fun rewarding skill and discipline that develops confidence, concentration, and creativity. In this class students will learn warm-ups for the mind and body, vocal exercises for the stage, and skills to develop and sharpen their imagination. Younger students will learn acting basics to enhance their creativity and imagination through fun active theatre games. While older student will learn the art of story telling, developing characters and have the opportunity to perform monologues or small scenes. Students are encouraged to participate in the end of the year performance.

Instructor Anna L Joham has been singing, dancing, and performing on stage for over 30 years. She has studied classical piano for 15+ years, voice for 20 years and dance for 10+ years. She has received her BA in vocal performance from University of Oregon, her MM in musical theater from Oklahoma City University and her GPD in Opera from Longy School of Music in Boston. Her performance experiences range from Musical Theater, Opera, Cabaret, Solo Recitals, and Jazz. She has won numerous awards for her singing and has performed across the country and internationally. Currently she performs extensively across the bay area primarily as a musical theatre performer.

Anna acted as Music Director and Choreographer of Alameda Children Theater’s production of “Wizard of Oz” . Anna has been teaching Drama classes in school for years.
