We will begin a seven-week Kerygma Bible Study at Opequon Church beginning the first week of May. Written from a Reformed perspective, Kerygma studies help adults explore the biblical story that shapes and informs the Christian life and promotes growth in faith and community. The Greek word kerygma is best translated as “proclamation” and describes the teaching of the good news. Kerygma began in a Presbyterian Church outside Pittsburgh, PA more than forty years ago (the same church that started the LOGOS ministry).
We will focus on The Commandments: For A Blessed Life during the seven Mondays or Thursdays in May and June. The Monday session is from 3:00-4:30 pm; the Thursday session is from 6:30-8:00 pm. We invite you to join us. Class begins on Monday, May 6 and Thursday, May 9. Each participant makes a commitment to preparation and weekly attendance at the group study session.
Consider this opportunity to read and study the Bible in a small, committed group and be challenged in your discipleship.
