Ministry Description
This ministry is designed for everyone. Whether you are new to studying doctrine or have walked with the Lord for decades, you are welcome. Using Wayne Grudem’s Systematic Theology as our guide, this class is designed for ordinary Christians who want to know God more clearly and love Him more deeply. No seminary background required—just a desire to grow. We learn and discuss the wonderful doctrines of our faith. Yet the focus remains practical: knowing God and his word more truly so that we can trust, obey, and delight in Him more fully.
Formerly called Faith Foundations
We renamed it to make the focus more clear. In our first series we studied the Character and Attributes of God. We learned of his holiness, omnipotence, omniscience, love, sovereignty, and more.
This Next Series
For this next series, we will study God's Providence. What does it mean that God is in control? We explore this doctrine looking at God's continual involvement in creation, his sovereign rule over all events, and how his purposes work through both the ordinary and the difficult circumstances of life. Drawing from Wayne Grudem’s Systematic Theology, we will examine key biblical teaching on God’s sovereignty, human responsibility, and the comfort this doctrine brings to believers.
(It is not necessary to have attended the first series. Each series is independent.)
Where and When
We will meet in Trailer A, Sundays, after second service, at about 12:15PM and go to about 2:00PM. The atmosphere is relaxed so it's no problem if you are a bit late or have to leave early. Our kickoff class will be September 13, 2026. At this first class we will, as a group, schedule the future classes. We will have light lunches for the hungry folks.
Materials
We will be using the book Systematic Theology Second Edition by Wayne Grudem. We will have books available for purchase at the first class. The cost is $40. (Please don't let the cost keep you from coming. If you can't afford the book, just let us know below that you would like to be "sponsored." )
