Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is a two-year process,
which includes teens, sponsors, parents and families. During this
discernment and apprenticeship period, Confirmation candidates
are considered as disciples-in-training. Their faith formation includes
Confirmation sessions, retreats, Youth Nites, youth conferences,
parish events, and corporal works of mercy with their parent(s).
Teens usually begin their journey in the Confirmation process once they
begin the 9th grade and receive the sacrament during the Easter
Season of their 10th grade year. However, we understand the ever-evolving
teenage schedule, and know that some teens may need to
complete their formation a little later. Teens are welcome to begin the
two-year process as a 9th, 10th or 11th grader.
