Poetry Making Playground Group Visits 
Kuumba Lynx is excited you want to book a group visit of 10+ to the Poetry Making Playground.  We are located at 601 S California.  Please complete this form and send a text to Jacinda 773-550-4229 or email Jaquanda@Kuumbalynx.com to confirm receipt and for additional questions.

Group Bookings

Group bookings of 10-40 (60 max) are available Monday - Friday between 10am-8pm. Private adult Groups can inquire about a specific date by text 773-550-4229 or 773-550-3849.

Tour Info

Tours are typically 90 minutes.

 For an additional fee of $250 you can add a 60 minute poetry writing workshop lead by a local Chicago poet. 

You can bring or cater lunch.

We are wheel chair accessible. Enter from side door on California. 


Total Attendees:

Please note our minimum group # is 10 and maximum is 40  If your group will consist of more than 10, we ask that you provide a final # of attendees at least 72hrs prior to your visit so that we can ensure we have enough staff to host you.

 

Location and Parking

We are located at 601 S. California (corner of Harrison). There is free street parking available.  Large vehicles/ buses can park across the street in the empty lot if desired. The nearest Blue Line stop is off California. California bus stops directly in front of the playground.

Food 

You can cater in ( we recommend Jerky Jerk on Taylor Street!) or bring your own food to eat in the space. We ask that you provide time and people to clean up after your group. We encourage food after the tour. If you are ordering for delivery allow a 30-45 min delivery time.  We do not have refrigeration or stove for heating up nor abilities to store any food items.

 

Payment

We require payment at time of your reservation. Please make payment via cash, check, Zeffy, Cash Ap, or Venmo.  If you are a CPS school and awaiting a PO or an organization needing an invoice, please request below. Also please provide proof of a CPS PO # seven days prior to your visit.  This ensures payment is approved and will be honored by CPS in a timely manner.
