We have a zero tolerance policy on harassment. By checking the box below, you acknowledge that you've read and will follow the rules regarding our anti-harassment policy.
Chicago TARDIS is dedicated to providing a harassment-free convention experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of convention participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any convention venue, including talks. Convention participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the convention without a refund at the discretion of the convention organizers.

Harassment includes verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, and/or religion; sexual images in public spaces; deliberate intimidation; stalking; following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact; and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Dealers in the Dealers’ Room are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, dealers should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the convention organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the convention with no refund. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of convention staff immediately. Convention staff can be identified by laminated badges reading “Staff” or “Staff Lieutenant” on the bottom third of the badge, or by a TARDIS blue engraved badge with “Chicago TARDIS” on the top line. In addition, security team members on duty will be wearing a bright neon safety vest. You can also contact us Direct/Private message via Twitter (@chicagotardis) or Facebook (, or via email at

Convention staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the convention. We value your attendance.

We expect participants to follow these rules in all convention function space and convention-related social events.

I have read and understand the Chicago TARDIS anti-harassment policy. *
