You should understand that when participating in any exercise or dance program, there is the possibility of physical injury. If you engage in these online dance classes, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in these activities, assume all risk of injury to yourself, and agree to release and discharge The Eight Count Ltd. from any and all claims or causes of action, known or unknown, arising out of The Eight Count Ltd.

A FEW NOTES BEFORE CLASS STARTS: A minimum of 6ft of floor space with a minimum 2 meter clearance from floor to ceiling. Clear the dance area of any glass, china or other breakable material that may lead to injury. For any participant under 10 years of age, we request an adult be present in the room however out of “screen”. Ensure your floor surface is suitable to dance on and that it is not slippery. Appropriate dance wear should be worn as we’re still “in class” which provides safe dance practice- wearing unsuitable clothing could distract and result in injury. When taking part in a live online class please join class on time. Late participants will not be accepted into the class due to health and safety reasons. Missing out on warm up can result in injury and may also hinder focus. *
CAMERA & MICROPHONE: With camera "ON" the teacher and participants will be able to see each other. If a parent decides that they do not wish for their child to be visible to the teacher or the others in class, they may elect to turn their child’s video off. If you keep your child’s Video ‘ON’ please ensure background is clear of sensitive information. *
When your dancer logs into an online class. They will be placed on mute and will await the instructor to start class in the “Waiting Room”. Once class commences, your dancer will be added to the class and will be instructed to either unmute or continue to have their device on mute. *
ZOOM requires the use of a webcam, we recommend updated computer security software. A good security suite includes antivirus, anti-spyware and a firewall amongst other tools. We also recommend that you ensure your wireless network has strong security settings and a good password. *
The email invitations for classes will only come from The Eight Count Ltd. We as that you do not share the link for classes with anyone unless approved by an Eight Count faculty member. *
Photographs may be taken only of your child(ren) taking part and NOT of the screen/Zoom transmission. *
The teachers of The Eight Count Ltd. are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage howsoever caused by participating with the online classes. All participants are to do so at their own risk and should do so under adult supervision. *
I allow my child to participate in the online dance class(es). I agree with the health and safety and precautions advised by The Eight Count Ltd., and will ensure all safeguarding precautions are taken during my childs’ participation. I understand that the teachers of The Eight Count Ltd. are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage incurred during online dance training and understand that a responsible adult should be present in the room at the same time. *
