ENRICHING ENVIRONMENT FOR DIVERSE NEEDS (Must Read)
At Nature Connections we pride ourselves on offering a safe and inclusive environment for all of our campers, and we do our best to work with campers with diverse abilities. While we have experience working with children of varying levels of learning, social, and developmental needs, it is very important for us to have clear and transparent communication with parents/guardians from the start to set children and counselors up for a successful week together. Our groups are intentionally kept small to provide a magical and enriching camp experience unlike any other. However, we do not have the capacity to provide ongoing one-on-one support throughout the week.
Since the safety and well-being of our campers, counselors, and the land are a priority, it is up to the sole discretion of Nature Connections to temporarily or permanently ask the parents/guardians to remove a camper from camp if:
1) a camper actively puts the well-being of themselves, the group, or the land at risk;
2) a camper continuously jeopardizes the learning experience of other campers; or,
3) the parents/guardians withhold important information upon registration about their child's needs or abilities.
