Loving Farm Animal Sanctuary                    Volunteer Application
Loving Farm is a nonprofit animal sanctuary that provides lifetime care and safety to animals rescued from the Animal Agriculture Industry. Each animal has their own story and their own unique personalities, preferences, and needs.We consider our animals to be our family members and everything we do is to assure that they are happy, healthy, and loved. 

Sanctuary work is physically strenuous, rain-or-shine, and functions best with discipline and routine. Therefore we ask that our animal care volunteers meet the following requirements:

-All volunteers must be 18 years or older and able to lift at least 20 pounds.
-Volunteers must commit to a minimum of one, 3-hour shift per week and be willing to sign up for morning or evening shifts, preferably on a regular basis.
-Volunteers must have their own transportation to the farm.
-Loving Farm is a vegan property. No animal products or food items are allowed inside the gates. (We prefer our volunteers to be vegan or interested in transitioning to a vegan lifestyle, and we ask that everyone at the sanctuary eats vegan while they are here, out of respect to our animals and the cause we serve.)
-Because we are in a pandemic, volunteers must be vaccinated (and boosted if vaccinated over six months prior to volunteering), respect social distancing guidelines, and wear a mask while on the property. 

If you meet these qualifications, we encourage you to join us! If you are interested in lending other talents to help support us, such as fundraising and administrative tasks, please make note of that in your application.

YOUR FIRST DAY: Please arrive ten minutes early to sign a release form. Wear boots or sturdy closed-toe shoes with no laces. No tennis shoes/ no sandals. Wear long pants and layers. Dress for the weather- this is a rain or shine job! Bring your own reusable water bottle, hat and sunscreen are highly recommended. *
Loving Farm Animal Sanctuary provides a forever home to animals who were rescued from slaughter in the Animal Agriculture industry. We also adopt and give lifetime care to companion animals who were homeless, abused or in danger. At Loving Farm we provide food, shelter, medical care, and lots of love to 50 animals (from 8 species) at our hilltop sanctuary in beautiful Paso Robles, California. Our mission is to open people's hearts and minds to extend compassion to ALL species. Tracey and Bill Soucy, the Co-Founders, are vegan. Their passion is to set an example of protecting animals, the Planet, and human health, and to educate about the benefits of adopting a compassionate vegan lifestyle.
