Thank you for expressing an interest in serving as a Game Leader in this year’s National MathematicsPentathlon® Academic Tournament. Serving as a Game Leader is a rewarding experience in manyways. The Responsibilities for Game Leaders Include:• Knowing the basic and tournament rules for ONE game very well and responding to questionsabout that game from Game Monitors on the day of the tournament.• Participation as a Game Monitor in at least one prior tournament (exception Division 1)• Attendance at a recent Game Monitor Orientation Session• Contacting Game Monitors prior to competition to ensure they know the game, as well as the date,time and place of the tournament. All Game Monitor information and emails will be provided by the PentathlonInstitute office.• Participation in the Essential Game Leader Meeting and tournament preparation on the Fridaybefore the tournament. After game set-up is complete, all Game Leaders participate in anessential meeting with the Tournament Director to review important tournament procedures andarrangements.• Arriving at the tournament site the day of tournament at 7:15am to meet with co-leaders and GameMonitors volunteering in your game area.• Assisting with the Award Ceremony.• SMILE A LOT AND HAVE FUN.
