Egleston Square Farmers Market - Market Manager Job Application
Egleston Square Farmers Market is a vendor-managed, volunteer and community-led initiative to make fresh, locally-grown food accessible to residents of Jamaica Plain and Roxbury, while supporting the local economy.

2019 Winter Market runs on Sundays from 10AM-2PM at Spontaneous Celebrations, 45 Danforth Street, Jamaica Plain from Jan-Mar. Set-up begins at 9AM, manager should be onsite by 8:30AM to supervise load in, and stay until approx 3PM to supervise load-out.

The Manager’s general responsibilities include: managing vendor relationships, coordinating market set-up and break-down each day, assisting with social media and general outreach to promote the market, answering customer questions, assisting with the market’s special events program and promoting the Egleston Farmers Market.

This position includes approximately 10 hours of work per week at a rate of $14.50/hr. A typical week is comprised of appr. 7 hours of work on Saturday (setting up, managing and breaking down market) and ~3 hours of administrative, market promotion and management tasks throughout the week.

***We are open to splitting this position over two hires to accommodate variable weekend schedules. The two managers would be expected to coordinate their schedules to alternate/split weeks and responsibilities to ensure market coverage while allowing for flexibility***
