SAGE’s Legacy Fellowship is a nine-month leadership program to train and support individuals and small teams to carry out community benefit projects of their own design. These projects can be independent (in a neighborhood or workplace, for example) or for an existing nonprofit like yours. Each fellow will be expected to participate in our nine-month training program, and commit to 115 hours of service on their project. During training, we encourage fellows to explore project ideas, including those that meet the needs of existing nonprofits or support an ongoing community initiative.
Will you send us an idea for a project with your organization? It should be a project that would, in some way, benefit younger or future generations. You can see examples of project ideas online at http://wearesage.org/ways-to-engage/legacy-fellowship/. We will share all relevant project ideas with our fellows. If a fellow expresses interest in your project, our goal would be to introduce the fellow to your organization, and, assuming there is a good match, to train and support the fellow to complete the project on your behalf. If no fellow expresses interest in your project, we may identify another volunteer outside of the Fellowship.
