Application for Blueprint's Feature Workshop: From Concept to Outline

Please tell us a little about yourself and the outline you want to develop in the workshop.

A rough idea, a short synopsis, an early draft of an outline, or an outline for a new draft are all welcome.

Meetings: Classes meet once a week for six weeks, on Thursdays from 5-7 p.m. Eastern Time, via Zoom.

Schedule: This workshop begins on Thursday, January 9. The class dates are January 9, 16, 23, and 30, and February 6 and 13.

Cost: $625.

PLEASE NOTE:

1) Writers must attend all 6 classes.

2) Each writer will be required to present their work 3 times (5-6 prose pages) during the workshop period. They will also be required to read their peers' work and provide feedback every week.

3) Application does not guarantee acceptance. We strive to create workshop groups that gel well due to common themes, interests, and experience levels. If you are not accepted, we hope you'll apply again to a future workshop.

Apply by EOD December 23. Accepted students will be notified by December 30, and payment is due via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle by January 2 to retain your slot.

The ethos of the workshop requires that all participants commit to attending every workshop. Can you commit to attending class on Thursdays from 5-7 p.m. Eastern Time on all the workshop dates: January 9, 16, 23, 30, and February 6 and 13?
*
If there is a lot of demand, we might add a Tuesday class which would meet from 5-7 p.m. Eastern Time on January 7, 14, 21, 28, and February 4 and 11. Could you attend a Tuesday class?
*
The workshop also requires you to read and offer feedback on other classmates' work. Are you able to make time each week to read approximately 15 pages and reflect on them before class? *
Are you also considering signing up for the other workshop in this series—Feature Workshop: From Outline to Draft—which begins around February 20 2025? *
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
