Welcome to the Doomer7 closed beta! I'm so thankful to everyone who waited for this mod! It is almost time for it to cross the finish line but I wanted to have a quick beta run to iron out any potential issues + balance the gameplay more before I fully released it. Somethings are still a work in progress, but the overall gameplay loop is set in stone. Feel free to leave any comments, questions, or concerns in the form and I'll take it into account. Thank you so much for volunteering!

HOW TO SETUP:

To run Doomer7, you will need:

A copy of Doom 2. Can be purchased from any storefront that sells it (Steam, GOG , etc.)
The Doomer7 beta pk3 file (https://www.mediafire.com/file/t214duc9mitdka9/Doomer7_Beta.pk3/file)
The latest version of GZDoom (Link to ZDoom homepage)

Once you have those, you will need to setup GZDoom properly. It's very straightforward and I would recommend watching this video by IcarusLIVES if you need assistance:

How To Get Started With Doom Mods, GZDoom and ZDL:

Once you have GZDoom setup, you will need to tweak a few settings to make sure the mod plays properly.

Go to the options menu and select customize controls

Select "Action"

Make sure that Fire is set to Mouse1, Secondary Fire is set to Mouse2, and Weapon Reload is set to R

Back out of the Action menu and find the "Doomer7 key bindings". Make sure "Restore Health" is set to H.

After that, you are all set!
