We are offering an exciting two-part workshop designed to empower the scientific community with hands-on experience using AWS services.
Part 1: AWS Workshop - Led by AWS representatives, this workshop will provide a deep dive into several AWS functionalities, including Amazon SageMaker, AWS Lambda, Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR), AWS Cloud9, Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS), Amazon API Gateway and more. Participants will learn through a practical session that includes setting up a Sagemaker environment, running advanced visualizations and building a web application with AWS services.
Part 2: Open Q&A Session - The day following the workshop, our AWS representatives will host an open Q&A session, providing an opportunity for further clarifications and personalized assistance to help participants transition their theoretical understanding to practical application in numerical weather prediction.
Recommended for: This event is highly recommended for scientists, researchers, and contributors to the UFS with varying levels of experience in AWS services, particularly those looking to integrate AWS functionalities into their work. Participants are encouraged to attend both the workshop and the follow-up Q&A session for a more comprehensive understanding of the AWS services in the context of the UFS.
Please note that in-person attendees are required to bring a laptop for the hands-on sessions. Space for in-person participation is limited, we ask that if you cannot bring a laptop, please register as a virtual participant. This ensures we can accommodate as many active, hands-on participants as possible during the live workshop.
