Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible, applicants must

1. carry a verifiable 3.0 GPA as of the application date.

2. be formally enrolled as either 1) a graduating high school senior entering college OR 2) a college freshman as of April 2023.

3. be a current, verifiable BRGC member OR affiliated with a BRGC member in good standing whose status can be verified. (Affiliate may be a friend, family member, coworker, neighbor, etc.)

Note: Evidence of GPA and college enrollment will be required and verified.

Application Requirements: To be considered, applicants must submit

1. a completed application by 11:59PM EST on 31 Mar 2023.

2. an official, current high school or college transcript dated between 1 Nov 2022 and 31 Mar 2023. The transcript must reflect a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

3. either an original 3-minute video presentation OR a 500-word essay on the Black Tradition of Arms OR The Relevance of the 2nd Amendment to the African-American Community.

Award Criteria: Submissions will be evaluated for originality, relevance, accuracy, depth of coverage, punctuation, grammar, and timeliness. Winners will be announced during the April 2023 BRGC General Meeting. Award decisions are final.
