Amsterdam Court Takeover - Team Registration

Shot Creators and TNS Basketball Academy are joining forces this summer to bring the basketball lifestyle, community energy, and passion for the game back to where it lives: on the outdoor courts, in the city.

Amsterdam Court Takeover is a free outdoor 5v5 tournament in Amsterdam for ambitious men’s and women’s teams. The event is built around one shared court, two separate divisions, and one basketball culture.

Men’s teams will compete against men’s teams. Women’s teams will compete against women’s teams. Games will alternate throughout the day, creating one shared event atmosphere where players, teams, and spectators can come together around the game.

There is no registration fee for this tournament. However, because team spots are limited, registration does not automatically guarantee participation. After receiving all team registrations, the organization will review the applications and select the teams that best fit the level and format of the tournament.

For this edition, only a limited number of open spots are available:

  • Men’s tournament: 3-5 team spots available

  • Women’s tournament: 4-6 team spots available

Teams that are not selected for this edition may be considered for a future edition later this year.

Team requirements:

  • Players must be 18 years or older

  • Teams must register with 5–8 players

  • The tournament will take place outdoors (partly or fully) in Amsterdam Sportcentrum Ookmeer, Dokter Meurerlaan 7, 1067 SM Amsterdam

Please only register your team if you are committed to participating. Once your team is selected and confirmed, we expect your team to show up, compete, and represent the basketball culture with energy, respect, and fair play.
