The DELT John Curry Distinguished Service Award is an annual award given by the active DELT Board Members that honors contributions and accomplishments impacting the Division of Emerging Learning Technologies and AECT in general. The award recognizes outstanding leadership, service, mentorship, and professional practice that goes above and beyond in its scope and dedication to the division and its members. The award was created to honor John Curry in recognition of his extraordinary commitment, leadership, and service to the organization.
Eligibility- There is not a specific requirement for the timing, nature, or variety of service.
- The award can honor specific accomplishments or a career of broad achievement.
- The nominee must be an active member of DELT and of AECT.
- The award may be given more than once to the same person.
Review Criteria- Evidence of exemplary achievement, contributions, and impact either for the division or as a representative of the division.
- Quality of support from additional references for the nomination.
Selection- Nominations are coordinated and reviewed, and recipients approved by the DELT Board under the direction of the current Past President, who oversees division awards.
- A review of potential awardees will be led by the division's past president.
- A unanimous, anonymous vote by the current board members will be required for the selection of the awardee.
