Heterodox Community Suggestions
Thank you for your interest in Heterodox Communities (HxCommunities). Please use this form suggest a new HxCommunity.

Please keep the following in mind:

- The suggested community must…
     - serve scholars within a specific discipline (e.g., "HxPsychology"), geographic area (e.g., "HxNYC"), or other academic setting/area (e.g., "HxCommunityColleges").
     - be aligned with HxA's mission to improve the quality of research and education in universities by increasing open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement.
     - focus on an area that is unique from the existing communities’ focus. You can view the list of existing HxCommunities here: heterodoxacademy.org/hxcommunities/

- A member of HxA must volunteer to lead the new HxCommunity as the Moderator.

- We appreciate all submissions but we are not able to accommodate all suggestions. To maintain the quality of the HXCommunities, we must limit the number of new HxCommunities that are launched each year.

- Due to the number of submissions we receive, our response may be delayed. We appreciate your patience.

HxCommunity Moderators
Each HxCommunity must have a volunteer member serve as the "moderator". Moderators are responsible for developing and maintaining engagement within the community. This includes sharing content on the community's social media page, planning and hosting events (virtual and - when they can safely happen - in person), and generally being the point of contact for the community and an ambassador for HxA within the community.
