When making the decision to become a Business Partner, please keep in mind that these youth are still in the learning phase of their professional journey. Please carefully read the information below to determine your eligibility to apply as a 2025 MPLOY Business Partner. There have been some changes.
If you are unable to meet the listed requirements, we thank you for your interest in MPLOY and respectfully ask that you do not proceed with the completion of the application.
NOTE:
1) If your organization/business is a childcare entity or camp, MPLOY interns are NOT permitted to perform ANY duties that require them to have physical contact with children such as holding them, hugging them or assisting them with restroom attendance. MPLOY interns are permitted to complete administrative duties and act as (with supervision) a teacher's assistant. Any violation of this policy will culminate in the immediate dismissal of any
organization/business as a MPLOY Business Partner.
2) We understand that many organizations/businesses operate remotely, however, you MUST have a physical location to be a MPLOY Business Partner. MPLOY interns must be able to report to a physical location during the program.
Why become a Business Partner?
The MPLOY program is made possible through local businesses and organizations who agree to host program participants. By joining forces with MPLOY, businesses have the unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals, ages 16 to 22, by providing them with a valuable 6-week summer employment experience. This partnership not only fosters a skilled and motivated workforce for the future, but also allows businesses to actively participate in shaping the professional journey of youth. Several business partners affiliated with MPLOY have subsequently gone on to hire program participants.
1) MPLOY, for summer 2025, will be Monday, June 2nd thru Friday, July 11th . Businesses/Organizations will be expected to host interns during this time frame (minus any holidays) for 6.5 hours a day. MPLOY interns can only work up to 24 hours a week Monday thru Thursday, between 8:30AM and 5:00PM.
2) As a part of MPLOY, we host two events that are critical to the process of preparing
for the summer. Any business/organization submitting an application MUST commit to having a representative attend both of these events. They are both MANDATORY.
