In recent years, the European Union has launched a number of calls for projects dedicated to the sector, notably as part of the NEWS calls under the Creative Europe programme. By encouraging cooperation between print and online media organisations, these schemes can enable players in the European news media landscape to get together and work on joint collaborations. Combating misinformation, audience development, new business models, collaborative practices, skills development, support for local media and investigative journalism... several types of projects can be supported under these schemes.
Share your European project proposals in the perspective of the next NEWS - Journalism Partnerships 2025 calls (topics "Collaborations" and "Pluralism"), look for additional expertises and new partners in Europe and get an insight of the European media landscape!
The Creative Europe Desks from 23 countries invite you to display your project in the data base by the Creative Europe Desks for partner search. This data base will stay open until the closing of the call (27th of February 2025).
For your information, the Creative Europe Desks have proposed a online pitching session on the 11th of December 2024, during which 6 projects applying to the topic "Collaborations" of the NEWS-JP call have been presented. The video replay is accessible on this non public link: https://youtu.be/EYsyRtW_708
