7/11 SLURPEE GRAVEL RIDE with Queers On Wheels
If you are an experienced off-road cyclist and/or you felt very comfortable on a Queers On Wheels Intro to Dirt Ride, this is the ride for you!

What is THIS? (the route): 14 miles total, 1 hour 45 minutes riding time. The route will be sent out day-of the event.
  • a mixed terrain gravel ride with slippery mud, sharp/loose gravel descents, hard packed double track fire roads, and some traffic.
  • 14 miles total--7 miles paved, 7 miles unpaved, 666 feet of climbing.
  • 5 expected dismounts.
  • This is not an introductory gravel ride. Expect intermediate to advanced terrain.
Your RIG (recommended gear):
  • We recommend at least 40mm tires or wider
  • Bring plenty of water and ride food to get you through a 1.75 hour ride.
  • Download the route to a device when the route is emailed to you.
  • Bring whatever you need to fix a flat (extra tube(s), tire levers, multitool, patch kit, tire plugs, pump, etc.)
  • 1:1 gear ratio is recommended

Depart: 9:30am
Pace: 13-15 mph (paved), 10 mph (off-road)
