We believe if we can all get to a place of Trusting, Honoring and Accepting ourselves, our work processes, our colleagues, and our consumers, that our community and our careers will Thrive.
This year’s conference will be designed to explore opportunities to strengthen our partnership and trust with the Deaf Community and with each other. To that end, the conference committee is seeking qualified facilitators or teams of facilitations to lead discussions and skills based training activities surrounding the themes of Trust, Honor, Acceptance and Thriving which can take many forms. We are open to many presentations but specifically seek:
- Working as a CDI- Working with a CDI- Team interpreting- Deaf Mental Health- Personal Acceptance and Thriving- THAT in Educational Settings- Being Qualified to Work in the Justice System- THAT = Confidentiality
All THAT and more!
We are seeking facilitators who are Deaf, Hearing or teams of both to present sessions in our shared language of American Sign Language.
*If selected, slides, handouts and any other materials must be made available to the interpreter coordinator one month prior to the conference start date.
