Over the past several years dozens of Chipotle workers, with the help of the Fast Food worker union 32BJ, filed complaints with the city of New York, alleging that Chipotle violated the NYC Fair Workweek Law. The Fair Workweek Law was designed to provide fast food workers with fair and stable schedules.
This past Tuesday, August 9th, the city announced a settlement with the company that will pay up to $20 million directly to Chipotle workers who worked for the company in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
