About Learn to Swim
Head Instructor: Mia Nardone

This is Mia Nardone's first year as head of the Abington Learn To Swim Program. She is very excited to work with the kids. Though this is only her first year in the Learn To Swim program at Abington Heights, she has been coaching competitive swimming to children for 2 years as the Assistant Coach for the Abington Gators. She has also taught Learn To Swim programs, group lessons, and private lessons at the Pittston YMCA for 5 years. Prior to coaching, she swam competitively for 16 years, including a college career at Marywood University.

The rest of the instructors are a mix of lifeguards, Abington swimmers, and alumni, many of which have worked with the program before. We also have many new instructors who are also excited to work with the kids. New or returning, they all have a lot of swimming experience that they are excited to share!
