IOMP will run a School on Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) from 5 to 8 October 2024 at the National Cancer Institute, Putrajaya, Malaysia. The aim is for the participants to develop relevant medical physics skills to safely implement IMRT into clinical practice. We will teach basic treatment planning and Quality Assurance (QA) skills, concentrating on the most common cancers regionally: prostate, breast, head and neck, brain. The participants should be able to perform basic treatment planning and QA in their home clinics after the completion of the School.
The cost of registration (USD100) will cover the use of facilities and catering during the School.
Participants will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation and visa arrangements.
We also aim to run 2 online follow up sessions 1 month and 3 months after the School.
Places are limited to 15-20 participants.
