Apples & Snakes Presents: The Writing Room Lincoln with Malika Booker
The Writing Room is Apples and Snakes' free development space for emerging poets and spoken word artists, aged 18-30 years old, this is the first time it is running in Lincoln. Over the course of eight workshops, participants will come together, share ideas, hone in on their skills and, most importantly, write!

This 8 week course is designed to take you through the whole process of writing a poem - from the genesis of an idea and using different writing forms, to discovering the sound of your poems and revisiting and editing your work, as well as having the platform to showcase your work at the end! The course is developed around the idea of reducing the amount of guesswork in your writing and to encourage and inspire craft and creativity.

Facilitated by internationally renowned poet and facilitator Malika Booker, The Writing Room will put you through your paces and engage in an exciting range of creative exercises that will challenge, encourage and inspire your work as an artist.

Alongside Malika, two of the sessions will be facilitated by guest artists who will share their expertise.
