The Friends mission is to raise public awareness in the community about the Library, to support the services and programs facilitated by the Library, and contribute to the overall strategic goals of the Library.

There is no cost to become a Friend. To apply, we only require you to be over 18 years old, have an active Bridgeport Public Library card in good standing, and be able and willing to volunteer a few hours a month to attend meetings, work on special projects, and/or attend special events.

We meet the first Thursday of the month at 4:00 PM in the Event Space.
