MQFF 2020 Volunteer Application
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at MQFF this year! The MQFF Volunteer Program provides an opportunity to gain first hand experience at a festival, learn new skills, make new friends, give back to the LGBTIQ+ community and play a vital role in making our not-for-profit festival run successfully.
All volunteers must be over 18 years of age. MQFF Volunteers are required to do a minimum of THREE volunteer shifts during the 2020 festival between 12-23 March. There will be opportunities to take on more shifts closer to and during the festival if desired.
All Volunteers are required to have a valid Working With Children Check as part of the Working With Children Act 2016. All applicants will need to provide evidence that they possess a valid WWCC or have requested one. Please sign up for a free Volunteer WWCC immediately here
and send through a receipt of your application. Applications without a WWCC or receipt of request will not be considered.
A volunteer induction evening will be held in early March. It's a chance to meet MQFF staff and other volunteers, as well as receive vital information on roles, responsibilities, expectations and benefits to volunteering for MQFF. It's super important to attend the induction as it greatly helps the MQFF staff manage the volunteer program and it also means everyone is prepared for their first shift! Volunteers receive a spiffy MQFF t-shirt and one complimentary pass per shift completed.
In the meantime, check out MQFF social media for updates and useful information. We have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, eNews! You can also contact us at
if you have any questions.
Applications close Thursday, 16 January at 5pm.
