Capitals Coalition Annual Survey 2021
The success of businesses, governments and financial institutions around the world is dependent on the benefit, or value, they receive from nature, people and society. Flourishing communities, strong and resilient social institutions, thriving natural ecosystems and a stable climate underpin both economic and societal prosperity.
By assessing the value we receive from these capitals (natural, social, human and produced) we recognize how our prosperity is directly or indirectly underpinned by nature, people and social resilience. This recognition highlights a clear case for the protection of and investment in the health of these previously undervalued capitals which can lead to cascading benefits for economic and societal prosperity while also delivering value to the natural world.
We therefore want to better understand how the value of nature and people is being incorporated into decision making. Share your thoughts and experiences in this short survey. We greatly appreciate your input.
