Volunteer Interest: From Generation to Generation
UPDATE: From Generation to Generation volunteer positions are full, except we are seeking volunteers fluent in Russian! Please submit the form below if you have Russian language skills.
During the unprecedented COVID-19 crisis, many Holocaust survivors in the Seattle area are at an extreme level of isolation. In an effort to promote social ties and to foster inter-generational communication, the Holocaust Center for Humanity, Jewish Family Service, and Jconnect (a program of Hillel UW for Jewish young adults) are partnering to connect young adult volunteers and survivors.

Volunteers will be matched with a survivor interested in social connection and check-ins. Volunteers will then make regular phone calls, send emails, mail letters, etc., as appropriate and as the survivor requests.
(Please note that this is not a program for direct service; volunteers should NOT visit their match in person.)

Not in the Jconnect age bracket but interested in helping? Know a Holocaust survivor who wants to participate in this program? Please email Julia Thompson directly: Julia@HolocaustCenterSeattle.org

If you are a current or potential Jconnector with questions, contact Stephanie Mandelblum: stephanie@hilleluw.org
