Open Streets Host application_2020
Open Streets Nashville is a program that temporarily closes the streets to cars to allow people to reconnect to their communities, get active, and play in the street. Free to the public, the event turns the streets into a park space that connects diverse portions of the city and offers communities the opportunity to experience their city streets in a whole new way.
Open Streets Nashville began in 2016 in the Gulch on 12th Ave. South. It was held along 12th Ave for three years, and in 2019 moved to Buchanan St. and 5th Ave. in Germantown.
In 2020, Walk Bike Nashville will expand the Open Streets program to include one marquee event located on Buchanan St. and another event to be located in a neighborhood yet to have experienced Open Streets. Apply below if you want to see this awesome event happen on your street!
