Conference attendance includes NMCTE membership, electronic newsletter, annual copy of the New Mexico English Journal, opportunities to publish, and attend NMCTE events.
As you develop your proposal for this year’s conference, you might begin with these questions in mind:Why have you selected the books that you teach?How do you use assessment to foster inquiry or to accurately gauge student learning?How can we foster student inquiry to generate critical thinking and change?What technology tools are available to promote student inquiry?How might our curriculum inspire students to identify and develop their passions or make change in the world?How might new state leadership, policies, and funding affect classroom practices and student learning?
Join educators from around the state for the fall conference hosted by the New Mexico Council Teachers of English. Language Arts teachers in English and Spanish, as well as content teachers who support literacy development are invited to attend.
